Yolanda owns and operates El Pochos Mexican Grill. She is the hardest working woman in L/A, working upwards of 60 to 70 hours a week providing excellent customer service to her clientele. She remembers their names and orders and often asks about family members. She has donated groceries to the Green Ladle during Covid so they could make meals for the needy. She has done countless fundraisers for the cities of Lewiston and Auburn. A few are the SPCA 5 k run, Auburn Middle School Odyssey of the Mind. Mr. Drew & his Animals too, and the victims of the big fire on Blake St. She has donated numerous gift cards to fundraisers. Her most recent fundraiser was 3 different events on behalf of Lewiston Summer Fun and Films, creating a meal specifically for them with all the proceeds going directly to them. Yolanda feeds and a very polite homeless man who stops in to say hello almost daily. Yolanda immigrated to Maine at a young age and her family received help from the City of Lewiston and does all she can to give back to the very community that helped her family. Yolanda goes above and beyond to help this community a community she cares deeply about. She is and should be considered a role model for young women in this community and this nation.
