Brian Wood

Auburn and the region are fortunate to have Brian Wood in our community. In his role as Assistant City Manager for Auburn, Brian is actively involved in numerous community initiatives. Here are some qualities about Brian that come to mind his quiet but steady strength; his warm and approachable leadership style; his ability to get up to speed quickly and lend support without hesitation; and his fair and mindful approach to decision-making. His thoughtful demeanor is an immediate attraction as someone you want to work with on projects. He is community-minded in all that he does. His experience from Washington DC brings ideas and solutions to challenging and complex issues locally.

Brian stepped into a role with the City Spirit team, the YMCA board of directors, and other initiatives that have afforded him the opportunity to meet community leaders and speak about matters that are important in our community. His work over these past two years (during a pandemic) has demonstrated that he is deserving of the Finest under 40 Award.
