“She grew up in Lewiston, is a graduate of Bowdoin College, worked as an acupuncturist in Portland before returning to Lewiston to found the non-profit, L/A Community Acupuncture. A mission statement for her practice is: ‘L/A Community Acupuncture is dedicated to nurturing the health of our patients and our community. We strive to make our clinic a place of respite. We do not tolerate hate speech, bullying, or discrimination. We welcome people of all races, genders, colors, income levels, national origins, ages, abilities, religions, sizes, and sexual orientations. Your care will never be based on any of these factors.’ A future goal of hers is to open an herbal apothecary on Lisbon St.”
