Nominator’s Comments:
“Ben has started a landmark website for those who enjoy comic and game conventions, as well as given the Lewiston/Auburn area it’s very own convention with the Great Falls Comic Con.

I would mention that I brought the first ever Comic Convention to Lewiston last fall and this spring I am bringing an even larger show to Auburn which is attracting attendees from around New England. I’m an active member in the Chamber, a member of UP Lift LA, I’m the cofounder of Tea & Lobster Productions which is currently working to organize events like the comic conventions to bring interest and tourism to the area. Tea & Lobster is also the backend support for Museum LA’s site, a service which we do as a donation to them. I also run www.cosplayconventioncenter.com which helps people discover conventions all over the country as well as right here in Maine. The site has over 95K users and grows daily. I’d say that I am passionate about seeing economic and artistic growth in LA continue and bringing passenger rail service to the area. I think if I were to choose a category I’d select economic development due to the nature of the conventions bringing people here from away.”
