“Hamza is a great leader in our community. Since 2017, he has been offering ESL classes to new Mainers. He extensively worked with the immigrant/refugee community. He also developed and implemented other educational programs to our new mainer community. He has conducted work readiness training sessions to new mainers teaching them how to write a resume, interview tips and navigating the employment market. He has successfully placed many immigrants to careers related to their prior experiences . He worked with companies in recruiting more diverse workers and recognizing the skills and experiences of our new Mainer community. Hamza is also part of the advisory council of the Maine Adult Promise navigators. He works with Bates College students in community partnerships programs building long lasting relationships with our local communities. Many of the programs that he designed are successful programs. Many of his other accomplishments include helping with foreign degree evaluations, college and career counseling for new Mainers.
