“Kelsye Smith is a rising professional at Community Credit Union. She has recently completed a self study program to become a CUNA Certified Financial Counselor. This is a prestigious designation in the Credit Union industry. In addition to months of self study to pass that course she has supported the Credit Union’s online financial literacy classes offered at no charge to individuals in Androscoggin County throughout the pandemic. She has attended numerous community meetings (held bi-monthly on Thursdays) where like-minded community leaders share resources to help the underserved in our community. As the Payment Services Specialist at the Credit Union she works with members disputing fraud, protecting their identity, handling payments as well as assisting them with budgeting and learning ways to manage their account. She also supports the Credit Union mission of provide financial services to ensure stability for all members, employees and communities at all stages of life. Kelsye has taught classes at Central Maine Community College with basic financial concepts to first year students as well.” – B. Sibley, Lewiston, Maine
