“I am nominating Ashlee Vandiver Au. D. a native of Turner, Maine as one of LA 40 Under 40 applicants. A dream of Ashlee’s as a young girl was to become Dr. Ashlee, practicing on her dolls, friends and family pets. As Ashlee grew the dream stayed with her, and she set off on her goal. After graduating from Townson University, Ashlee looked forward to moving back home to Maine and practicing her profession.
Ashlee could be found practicing at a non-profit hearing center in Lewiston. She was determined to be one of the best in her field caring for her patients her top priority. As an Audiologist she knew she could change many patients lives. Helping a baby hear his parents voices for the first time. A young child hear the teacher or classroom friends. Or and elderly patient stay connected with their family conversations. The importance of hearing to her patients is Ashlee top priority. You will find her volunteering, holding lectures or passing her knowledge on at many events.
Her love of Audiology and her patients made her ultimate goal of opening an independent practice a must. She knew in her heart and for the love of her patients this was the best direction. In February of 2020 Ashlee opened Red Maple Audiology in Turner Maine, her patients are following her and her heart is full. Knowing she came full circle from a little girl with a dream to a Women with practice and title of Dr. Ashlee.” – L. Marschall, Sabattus, Maine
