Ashley Richardson

I am pleased to nominate Ashley Richardson for the 40 Under 40 recognition, highlighting her exceptional contributions and impact at Community Credit Union and beyond over the past two years. From her very first day as a Member Representative, Ashley demonstrated a genuine enthusiasm for our mission and values. Community Credit Union is a member-owned organization that strives to provide financial services to ensure stability for all members, employees and communities at all stages of life. She quickly embraced our culture too, understanding that “It’s How We Get Things Done” is not just a motto, but a way of life.

In just six months, Ashley transitioned to a back-office role within the Financial Services Department, seamlessly adapting to new responsibilities and exceeding our expectations. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her meticulous approach to her work; she consistently seeks out the most efficient and accurate methods to fulfill her duties. Ashley has led process improvements, efficiencies and is consistently sharing ideas with our entire team on cost saving and waste reduction.

Furthermore, when the Financial Operations department faced the loss of a long-tenured employee, Ashley stepped up without hesitation, embracing new responsibilities and playing a crucial role in training and supporting our newest team member. Her leadership and teamwork have not only strengthened our department but also fostered a spirit of collaboration and growth. Ashley has been a sharp eye for fraud mitigation for our members and our Credit Union as a whole. With fraud on the increase and fraudsters becoming more sophisticated this takes dedication and continued adaptability to keep up with trends.

Ashley exemplifies the Credit Union’s philosophy of people helping people. She not only excels in her own responsibilities but also actively participates in several committees, including the Donations and Sponsorship Committee, and serves as Co-Chair of the Washburn Committee (our adopt-a-school initiative), as well as Chair of the Sunshine Committee. Her involvement in community events is unparalleled—whether popping popcorn at the Community Block Party, tossing beach balls during the 4th of July Parade, or assembling raffle baskets for fundraisers, Ashley is always ready to lend a hand while ensuring everything stays within budget. Ashley has been known to rally a team together to attend Uplift Fun After Five trivia nights and often carries the team with her trivia knowledge while strengthening team bonds and relationships!

Ashley’s passion for her work and her community makes her a deserving candidate for Finest Under 40 recognition. Her impact as a Financial Specialist at the Credit Union and her commitment to serving our community truly set her apart. I wholeheartedly endorse Ashley for this honor, her contributions will continue to inspire and uplift those around her. She is truly a rising professional and a growing leader!
