“I am nominating Laura Catevenis owner of Black Bear Support Services LLC as one of this years 40 under 40 recipient because she is a walking example of how dreaming big and working hard really can pay off. Just 4 years ago Laura was on welfare trying to make the best life for her and her daughter with the limited resources she had. She had a dream to start a business that would help provide for her and her daughter as well as help children with intellectual disabilities throughout the state of Maine. Black Bear Support Services LLC was born in February of 2016 with a total of 5 employees, and has grown to over 80 staff members and three locations.
