Melissa Sproul

2020 Nominee

Volunteers

Nominator’s Comments:
“There are many reasons I am nominating Melissa. She has been a rapidly rising star in our credit union doe to her hard work, leadership qualities, and skill set. She oversees a staff of 6 and manages 2 business lines at our credit union, our Call Center, which is the first touch point that our members have with the credit union, and also our deposit operations which is the behind the scenes work of how we operate. She is well respected by her staff as well as the senior team.

I am nominating her for the Volunteer category, because she serves on the Maine Credit Union League Ending Hunger Committee. This is a committee that works in the state to raise money and awareness for ending hunger. She was recognized at an awards ceremony last week for leading Dirigo FCU to a 3rd place finish in total dollars raised for the ending hunger campaign in our area raising $31,000.00. Melissa led the fundraising efforts by holding a bowling tournament in Lewiston where all proceeds were donated to this cause. Melissa is a champion in this area and volunteers in many different capacities throughout the year to help raise money and community awareness.” – N. Mailhot, Lewiston, Maine
